Work Permit
About 90,000 foreign workers come to Canada on a yearly basis.
In most cases, foreign workers have to obtain a work permit,
before they can work in Canada.
A foreign worker who has obtained a job offer must obtain a
confirmation or a labour market opinion from HRDC before they can
apply to CIC for a work permit.
Some types of work do not require an HRDC confirmation.
Some types of work do not require work permit. A list of work
permit exempt jobs is reproduced for your information.
